On Friday, May 2, former El Rancho High school standout Samy Vargas’ current college team, the San Francisco State Gators, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Sonoma State Seawolves.

The game took place at Seawolf Softball Field. This was their fifth matchup against the Seawolves this season.

The Gators’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at Seawolf Softball Field against Cal State San Marcos Cougars.
