Artesia issued the following announcement on Oct. 22
In accordance with Los Angeles County’s Reopening for Youth Sports Protocol, the City of Artesia is now allowing reservation of fields at City parks for certain youth sports, and enrollment in a Fall Ball Conditioning Program, for teams that meet all applicable City requirements and comply with all County Health protocols for the safety of all participants.
Teams must submit a facility use form and pay required fees, which have been temporarily reduced. They must also must submit proof of insurance, signed liability waivers from all players and coaches (or parent/guardian if under 18), a signed LA County Youth Sports Protocol Form, and a complete practice plan that demonstrates compliance with all County Health protocols.
For teams that are formed but do not have access to insurance and cannot otherwise submit a completed Facility Use Permit form, the City has a Fall Ball Conditioning Program. To join this program, teams must submit completed registration forms for all team members with required fees, signed liability waivers from all players and coaches, and a signed LA County Youth Sports Protocol Form, and a complete practice plan that demonstrates compliance with all County Health protocols. Coaches for teams in this program must also pass a background check.
